Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Auditor/Accountant to oversee financial monitoring, reconciliation, and compliance activities related to the RockPay platform.
The successful candidate will be responsible for balancing RockPay transaction accounts (sending and receiving), reconciling mobile app transactions, and conducting weekly financial reviews to determine profit or loss generated from customer usage of the platform. The role requires strong accounting expertise, accuracy, integrity, and a solid understanding of digital financial transactions.
Job Role Overview
The Auditor/Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of RockPay. The position ensures:
Accurate balancing of all sending and receiving transactions.
Proper documentation and reconciliation of all mobile app financial activities.
Weekly monitoring of profit and loss performance.
Strong internal financial controls and compliance oversight.
Protection of company revenue and customer trust.
This role is central to ensuring RockPay operates transparently, efficiently, and profitably while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Reconcile all RockPay app transactions (incoming and outgoing payments).
Balance daily, weekly, and monthly transaction records within the RockPay system.
Verify accuracy of customer deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and service charges.
Investigate discrepancies, irregularities, or unauthorized transactions.
Financial Reporting & Profit Analysis:
Prepare weekly financial reports detailing:
Total transactions processed
Revenue generated from service fees
Operational costs related to transaction processing
Weekly profit or loss performance
Analyze transaction trends and financial performance metrics.
Provide financial summaries and insights to senior management.
Audit & Compliance:
Conduct internal audits of RockPay financial activities.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, fintech policies, and internal controls.
Implement and maintain effective check-and-balance systems.
Support external audits when required.
Ensure adherence to anti-money laundering (AML) and financial compliance standards.
Account Statement Review:
Review and verify weekly account statements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Ensure transparency and accountability in all financial processes.
Risk Management & Controls:
Identify financial risks related to transaction processing.
Recommend improvements to internal financial control systems.
Monitor fraud prevention mechanisms within the platform.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (preferred).
Professional Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):
CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
ACCA
CMA or equivalent professional certification
Experience:
2–5 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or financial management.
Experience in fintech, digital banking, or mobile payment platforms is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of financial reconciliation and internal audit procedures.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting and data analysis.
Ability to analyze high-volume transaction data accurately.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Familiarity with fintech transaction systems is an advantage.
