Description
We are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Officer to accelerate growth within our Oil & Gas workforce and technical services
This role is central to expanding revenue, deepening client penetrationand strategic expansion to position the firm beyond Nigeria into regional energy markets.
This is not a passive sales position.
You will influence opportunities before they formal entry into the market, shape bid strategy, lead tenders from concept to submission and position Energi Talent Resourcing as a trusted partner to operators, service companies and investors across the energy value chain.

Talk to clients before tenders are even released, understand what they really need and help shape how we position ourselves
Actively look for new business opportunities across the Oil & Gas sector and not waiting for them to come to us
Help us grow into new clients, new markets and investor-led projects.
Own the Bid Process from Start to Finish:
Take charge of the full bid journey — from identifying the opportunity to submitting a strong, compliant proposal
Pull together the right people, information and strategy to create proposals that stand out and win
Work through pricing, commercial terms and potential risks to make sure our submissions are both competitive and profitable.
Work Across Teams to Deliver Strong Submissions:
Partner closely with consultants, operations, finance, procurement and legal to ensure everything aligns
Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors and partners to gather technical and commercial inputs
Once we win, make sure there’s a smooth handover so the delivery team can execute seamlessly.
Stay Close to Industry & Stakeholders:
Follow up on bids and opportunities with NipeX, NAPIMS and other relevant bodies
Keep track of compliance requirements and ensure certifications and registrations are always up to date
Support conversations with potential investors, clearly presenting our value and helping negotiate commercial terms.
Track Progress & Keep Improving:
Monitor performance against growth targets and key metrics
Lead reviews after each bid to identify what worked and what we can improve
Keep proposal documents, client records and data organized and easy to access.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline
1 - 2 years experience in bidding, tendering, proposal management or business development
Exposure to the Oil & Gas or Energy sector strongly preferred
Appetite to continuously learn and stay ahead of industry trends
Strong bid management capability
Knowledge of NipeX, NAPIMS, DPR/NUPRC and local content frameworks
Commercial acumen and negotiation confidence
Highly structured and performance-driven mindset.
