Job Title: Assistant Farm Manager

Description
As we continue to expand and strengthen our farm and processing operations, we are seeking a disciplined, proactive, and results-driven Assistant Farm Manager to support daily farm activities, ensure operational efficiency, and uphold high agricultural and processing standards across our coffee estates.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises farm staff and seasonal workers during field operations on both company farms as assigned by the Farm Manager; assigns tasks, monitors performance, and ensures compliance with schedules, standards, and safety procedures.
Coordinates teams in the absence of the Farm Manager
Ensures delegated tasks are executed efficiently and safely.
Job Purpose
The Assistant Farm Manager supports the Farm Manager in planning, supervising, and coordinating farm and processing operations across all company farms, ensuring that all field activities and processing schedules are executed efficiently, in compliance with quality standards, and in line with budgeted resources.
The AFM acts as the deputy to the Farm Manager and ensures continuity of operations in their absence.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support & Supervision:
Assist in implementing farm and processing plans, including planting, irrigation, spraying, fertilization, and harvesting schedules.
Oversee day-to-day activities in both farm and processing operations to ensure timely and efficient execution.
Coordinate with Store & Records Manager, Agronomist, QC Team, and Accountant to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
Ensure compliance with Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), safety standards, and internal policies.
Planning & Reporting:
Support the Farm Manager in operational planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Record operational data including labor, input usage, and field activities.
Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly farm and processing reports for review by the Farm Manager.
Problem-Solving & Decision Support:
Identify operational bottlenecks and provide recommendations for improvement.
Make operational decisions in the absence of the Farm Manager while ensuring alignment with overall farm objectives.
Support management in implementing corrective measures during operational or quality deviations. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Accuracy of operational records and reporting
Effective supervision of farm staff and seasonal workforce across all company farms.
Qualifications & Experience
HND / B.Sc in Agronomy, Agribusiness, Crop Science, or related field
3 – 5 years of experience in farm operations, preferably in coffee or horticultural estates
Supervisory experience or team leadership preferred.
