Description

• Vitalvida is a fast growing ecommerce company selling beauty and personal care products across Nigeria. We run paid video ads on Meta (Instagram and Facebook) and TikTok every day.
• The videos you create do not sit in folders.
• They get tested, they get real ad spend, and they either drive sales or get cut.
• We need a Video Ads Editor who can create high converting video ads from scratch using AI tools, existing product footage, and raw creativity. This is direct response.
• Every video you make has one job: make people stop scrolling, watch, and buy.
• If your reel looks pretty but does not sell, it is useless to us.

What You Will Do

• Create complete video ad creatives from scratch for Meta (Instagram and Facebook) and TikTok
• Turn scripts and ideas into high-converting video ads. Sometimes we provide the hooks and scripts, sometimes you create your own. You must be able to do both.
• Write your own hooks and ad copy when needed. If you can only edit but cannot think, this is not for you.
• Build AI UGC content: AI avatars, AI spokesperson videos, AI voiceovers
• Edit short form ads (15 to 60 seconds) and longer VSL style videos (2 to 5 minutes)
• Create multiple variations of each ad: different hooks, openings, pacing, and CTAs
• Source or create all visuals and footage yourself using AI tools and stock assets
• Iterate fast based on feedback and performance data. If an ad is not converting, you rework it same day.
• Study winning ads from competitors and top ecommerce brands.
• Understand why they work and apply those principles.
• Produce a minimum of 5 to 10 video ad variations per day.

You Must Have

• Experience editing ecommerce video ads or paid social video content
• Understanding of hooks, pacing, retention, and direct response principles
• Ability to create AI UGC content: AI avatars, AI voiceovers, AI spokesperson videos
• Comfort using AI tools for video creation (CapCut, HeyGen, Synthesia, ElevenLabs, Runway, or similar). If you are not already using AI in your video workflow, you need to be ready to learn fast.
• Proficiency in video editing software (CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, or any tool that gets the job done)
• Ability to work independently. This is not a "wait for instructions" role. You see what is working, you create more of it.
• Ability to take feedback and iterate quickly without ego
• Reliability and consistency. 5 to 10 video variations per day, every day.
• Ability to write hooks, scripts, and ad copy. You are not just an editor. You must be able to think about what makes someone stop and watch.

What Makes a Good Ad (You Must Understand This):

• The hook is everything. If the first 2 seconds do not stop the scroll, the rest does not matter.
• Pacing keeps attention. Too slow and they swipe. Too fast and they do not absorb the message.
• The CTA must be clear and direct. No soft suggestions. Tell them what to do.
• Social proof converts. Testimonials, before and after, real results.
• Ugly ads often outperform pretty ads. Performance beats aesthetics every time.

Nice to Have:

• Experience creating video ads for beauty, skincare, health, or personal care brands
• Experience with VSL (Video Sales Letter) format
• Understanding of Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager and what ad formats perform best
• Motion graphics or animation skills.
