Job Purpose
The Project Services Planner & Scheduler provides integrated planning, scheduling, and progress control expertise to support the successful delivery of projects within the SEN portfolio.
The role ensures accurate forecasting, disciplined monitoring, and effective reporting of project timelines and milestones. It also guarantees that all baseline schedules and supporting technical documents are properly stored and managed in compliance with company policies and project governance standards.
Dimensions:
Supports multiple projects across the SEN portfolio, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
Interfaces with internal stakeholders (Projects & Engineering, Finance, Contracting & Procurement, Operations, HSSE) and external parties (contractors and consultants).
Manages project schedule data and documentation within approved enterprise systems and document management platforms.
Contributes to the development and maintenance of consistent project controls processes and performance standards across the organization.
Principal Accountabilities
Project Planning and Scheduling:
Develop, maintain, and optimize Level 1–4 project schedules using approved scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project).
Establish and maintain the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in alignment with cost and scope.
Integrate all phases of project execution — engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover — into a single, coherent plan.
Define logical sequencing, dependencies, and critical paths for all major work scopes.
Update schedules to reflect approved changes, progress, and risk impacts, maintain alignment with baseline and current forecasts.
Progress Measurement and Control:
Develop and implement progress measurement systems and procedures consistent with Project Services standards.
Track performance against baseline schedules, identify deviations, and propose recovery actions.
Perform earned value analysis (EVA) and calculate key performance indices (SPI, CPI).
Interface with cost engineers to ensure consistency between schedule and cost performance data.
Provide early warnings and schedule risk insights to project and leadership teams.
Documentation and Data Management:
Ensure all baseline schedules, schedule revisions, and associated technical documents are properly filed, version-controlled, and retrievable in line with company document management policies.
Maintain accurate records of schedule assumptions, dependencies, and approvals.
Support audits, project assurance reviews, and lesson-learned exercises by providing complete and traceable documentation.
Enforce compliance with data retention, confidentiality, and governance standards.
Risk and Change Management:
Participate in project risk reviews and assess schedule impacts of identified risks and proposed mitigations.
Conduct “what-if” and schedule simulation analyses to evaluate potential scenarios and delays.
Support the change control process by quantifying time impacts of project changes and maintaining updated records.
Maintain the schedule risk register and track mitigation effectiveness.
Interface and Coordination:
Coordinate schedule inputs and updates from engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and contractor teams.
Support regular project schedule review sessions and interface meetings.
Align contractor schedules with project milestones and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
Facilitate collaboration across teams to maintain an integrated project plan and shared understanding of key deliverables.
Reporting and Communication:
Prepare and issue weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, milestone charts, and dashboards.
Present schedule status summaries, trends, and forecasts to project leadership and management.
Translate complex scheduling data into clear, actionable insights for decision-making.
Maintain transparency in communication across all project stakeholders.
Governance and Compliance:
Ensure adherence to Project Services and Project Delivery Framework (PDF) standards.
Support project gate reviews (DG2, DG3, DG4) with validated schedules and readiness documentation.
Maintain all schedule baselines, approvals, and change histories in compliance with internal and audit requirements.
Promote standardization, consistency, and continuous improvement in project control practices.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related technical field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project planning and scheduling within oil & gas, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
Professional certification in PMI-SP, AACE PSP, or PMP (preferred).
Working knowledge of Project Delivery Framework (PDF), Stage-Gate processes, and project controls methodology.

Skills and Competencies:
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft office 365 tools, Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excelbased schedule analysis tools.
Sound understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM), Earned Value Management (EVM), and schedule risk analysis.
Knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) project lifecycles.
Familiarity with SAP Project Systems (PS) and SharePoint.
Ability to develop and interpret S-curves, histograms, and resource-loaded schedules.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
