Yem-Yem is a chain of retail stores renowned for quality products and services at affordable prices. Yem-Yem provides fast-moving consumer goods (FCMG) to shoppers living within and around Lagos Mainland. Weprovide a wide range of products and service in a secure and friendly environment. We operate supermarkets, a pharmacy, frozen foods and quick service shops.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Driver

Location: Akoka, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• Securely transport documents, inventory, or, supplies between company locations or to/from customers/suppliers, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Key duties include following strict security protocols, maintaining, cleaning, and inspecting vehicles, managing delivery logs, and assisting with loading/unloading.

Core Responsibilities

• Secure Transportation: Safely deliver valuable, confidential or routine materials between branches, customers, or, suppliers.
• Route Management: Plan and follow efficient, scheduled routes while adhering to traffic laws.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily vehicle inspections (e.g., fuel, oil, tires) and, ensure the vehicle is clean and maintained.
• Log Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of all deliveries, pickups, and, mileage.
• Security Compliance: Follow strict security procedures, which may involve monitoring surroundings to protect assets.
• Loading/Unloading: Physically load and unload items, often requiring the ability to lift.

Requirements

• Valid national driver's license and Lagos State LASDRI license
• 3+ years of professional driving experience.
• Strong knowledge of local routes and navigation tools.
• Good physical stamina for loading/unloading and, navigating, varying weather conditions.
• Professionalism and, excellent, interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience working with state or federal government a requirement.

Remuneration / Benefits

• N165,000 per month (before confirmation), if working from 8am to 7pm (overtime included), Mondays to Saturday PLUS performance bonuses and health insurance
• N206,250 per month (after confirmation), if working from 8am to 7pm (overtime included), Mondays to Saturday PLUS performance bonuses, health insurance and leave allowance.
