We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Logistics & Operations Manager

Location: Palmgrove, Lagos

Supervises: Generator Operators

Job Purpose

• To manage and coordinate the movement, deployment, and retrieval of all generator and light tower assets, ensuring timely delivery to and from client sites.
• The Logistics Manager ensures minimal delay of assets delivery, quick turnaround, and effective scheduling of generator operators for transport, setup, and return. This role is crucial in maintaining high service levels and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Asset Deployment & Retrieval:

• Plan, schedule, and oversee the deployment and collection of generators and related equipment.
• Ensure assets arrive at client sites on time, are properly installed, and returned promptly after job completion.
• Monitor job orders and proactively assign generator operator/s for delivery and setup.

Team Supervision:

• Directly supervise all generator operators and ensure they are following SOPs for transport and asset handling.
• Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure safety compliance during transportation and on-site work.
• Manage shift scheduling, overtime, and daily assignments.

Fleet & Equipment Tracking:

• Coordinate with internal departments to confirm asset readiness (e.g., maintenance and availability).
• Maintain real-time tracking of all assets in transit or on-site by communicating with related staff handling the job.
• Report any delays or logistical issues to management with solutions.

Client Coordination:

• Communicate with in-house Customer Service reps regarding asset delivery times, access requirements, and pick-up schedules.
• Handle site access challenges or other delivery-related concerns swiftly and professionally.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, returns, and asset movements.
• Provide weekly and monthly logistics reports to the Operations Manager.
• Ensure all delivery forms and asset report forms are fille, signed and archived in individual asset folder.

Process Optimization:

• Continuously review delivery processes for speed, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
• Recommend improvements to reduce idle time, fuel consumption and Operators delays.
• Work with the Maintenance and Admin teams to improve coordination.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Asset Delivery Time Compliance 95% of deliveries made within scheduled timeframe
• Job Turnaround Time < 12 hours average turnaround from job close to asset return Technician Productivity Minimum 90% task completion rate per technician per week Asset Downtime due to Logistics < 2% of total fleet downtime attributable to logistics delays

Client Satisfaction Score (Logistics):

• > 90% positive feedback from clients on timely delivery & setup
• Delivery Error Rate < 1% (wrong equipment, wrong location, or documentation errors)
• Documentation Accuracy 100% of job forms correctly filled and archived within 24 hours Team Punctuality ≥ 95% on-time attendance and task reporting by technicians

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 5-7 years experience. 

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent scheduling, planning, and coordination abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, delivery tracking tools, and GPS systems
• Effective communication with internal teams and clients
• Good understanding of generator logistics and handling procedures
• Problem-solving mindset under pressure.

Salary
N300,000 - N400,000 / Month.
