Head of Credit and Remedial at GTI Microfinance Bank Limited

GTI Microfinance Limited was incorporated in August 2007 as a limited liability company and started its operations in 2008 at No. 127 Obafemi Awolowo Road, Ikeja. In October 2013, it was licensed as a State Wide Microfinance Bank and moved its Head Office to No. 4 Tinubu Street, Central Business District, Marina Lagos. Other branches are located at Mushin, Abattoir in Agege, Surulere and Arena.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Credit and Remedial

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive credit assessments of clients, including financial statement analysis, cash flow evaluation, and risk rating.
• Review and interpret financial, operational, and industry data to identify potential credit risks.
• Prepare detailed credit reports and recommendations for management and credit committees.
• Monitor existing credit exposures and identify early warning signals of potential defaults.
• Support the development and implementation of credit risk models, policies, and procedures.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior credit analysts.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, finance, and legal to ensure effective risk management.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal credit policies.
• Conduct regular review and visits to clients with outstanding loan portfolios at risk.
• Review of all the outstanding and overdue loan clients.
• Make regular reports and suggestions to the bank on actions required to protect its fund from bad loan clients.
• Recovery of classified loans.
• Liaise with branches to manage and monitor non - performing loans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with relevant experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of credit analysis, portfolio management, loan recovery and risk assessment in the microfinance or financial services sector.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
