Role Overview
New Label Ray Media seeks a commercially driven and operationally disciplined General Manager – Studio Operations, Growth & Community to lead the end-to-end management of its studio ecosystem.
This role combines operational excellence, revenue growth, community building, and business development.
The successful candidate will oversee studio infrastructure, production logistics, partnerships, memberships, programming, and monetization strategies—transforming the studio into a high-performing creative and commercial hub.
Core Mandate
To build and scale a world-class studio platform that drives operational efficiency, revenue growth, creator engagement, and brand influence within the media and creative ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Studio Operations & Infrastructure Management:
Oversee daily studio operations, scheduling, logistics, and production coordination.
Ensure optimal utilization of studio facilities, equipment, and technical resources.
Implement operational systems, SOPs, and performance standards.
Manage vendor relationships, technical partners, and service providers.
Maintain health, safety, and compliance standards.
Revenue Growth & Commercial Strategy:
Develop and execute studio monetization strategies (rentals, production services, memberships, events).
Drive partnerships, sponsorships, and brand collaborations.
Identify new revenue streams within the studio and creator ecosystem.
Oversee pricing models, commercial negotiations, and revenue forecasting.
Work closely with Marketing and Sales to achieve growth targets.
Community Development & Engagement:
Build and nurture a thriving community of creators, producers, partners, and stakeholders.
Design and oversee programs such as workshops, showcases, networking events, and industry sessions.
Drive creator retention, engagement, and loyalty.
Position the studio as a leading creative hub within the market.
Production & Project Management Oversight:
Supervise project timelines, deliverables, and production workflows.
Ensure high-quality output across all studio-driven productions.
Optimize turnaround times and cost efficiency.
Coordinate cross-functional teams (creative, technical, marketing).
Financial & Performance Management:
Prepare and manage annual budgets and operational expenditure.
Track revenue, profitability, and cost efficiency metrics.
Deliver monthly and quarterly performance reports to executive leadership.
Drive operational efficiency improvements.
Team Leadership & Organizational Development:
Lead and manage studio managers, technical staff, coordinators, and support teams.
Build scalable structures for growth.
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer-centricity.
Oversee recruitment, performance management, and staff development.
Brand Positioning & Industry Engagement:
Represent the studio in industry engagements and partnerships.
Drive brand visibility within the creative, media, and entertainment sectors.
Identify strategic collaborations that enhance market positioning.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Studio revenue growth and profitability margins.
Facility utilization rate and booking efficiency.
Community growth and retention metrics.
Production turnaround times and quality standards.
Cost management and operational efficiency ratios.
Partnership acquisition and commercial deal closures.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Media Management, Communications, or related field (MBA is an advantage).
8–12 years progressive experience in operations management, media production, studio management, or creative enterprise leadership.
Demonstrated experience managing revenue targets and operational budgets.
Strong understanding of studio production workflows and creator ecosystems.
Proven track record in scaling operational platforms or creative hub

Salary Budget: NGN450,000 – N600,000 base monthly, plus other Commission & incentives
