Job Title: Chief Operation Officer

Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO to translate the company's vision into an actionable, cross-functional operating plan.
• Serve as the primary decision-maker for day-to-day execution, freeing the CEO to focus on vision and external relations.
• Revenue Accountability: Own the full P&L for revenue generation. Directly oversee the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure pipeline velocity, conversion rates, and customer acquisition targets are met.
• Go-to-Market Operations: Optimize the entire commercial funnel—from marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) to professional services onboarding. Ensure the CRM (e.g., Dynamics 365 or Salesforce) is the single source of truth for sales activity and forecasting.
• Pricing & Packaging: Work with delivery teams to package Microsoft solutions (Azure, M365, Security) into standardized offers that are easy to sell and profitable to deliver.
• Oversee all technical operations, including Managed Services, Professional Services (Project-Based), and Support Desk.
• Ensure delivery excellence by monitoring utilization rates, project margins, and SLA adherence.
• Implement scalable delivery methodologies (ITIL/Agile) that allow the company to grow headcount without proportional growth in overhead.
• Own the relationship with Microsoft and other key OEMs. Ensure the company maintains and upgrades its Solutions Partner designations (e.g., Infrastructure, Modern Work, Security).
• Operationalize the "co-sell" motion with Microsoft, ensuring internal teams are equipped to leverage Microsoft-led leads.
• Manage vendor commercial agreements to optimize margins on CSP (Cloud Solution Provider) licensing.
• As the leader of a knowledge-based IT firm, you are responsible for the "supply chain" of talent.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and professional development to ensure a healthy bench of certified architects and engineers.
• Drive a culture of commercial accountability—ensuring engineers understand the business impact of their delivery efficiency.
• Provide the Board and CEO with clear, data-driven dashboards covering: Revenue Performance, Delivery Health, Partner Status, and Cash Flow/Margins.
• Ensure compliance with security frameworks (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials) and client regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years in IT Services / Technology sector.
• Proven track record as a COO, GM, or Sales Director in a Microsoft Partner environment.
• Deep knowledge of Managed Services (MSP) operational models.
• Experience managing a full P&L with accountability for both revenue and margin.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.

Competencies & Attributes:

• Bilingual: Speaks "Tech" (with engineers) and "Commercial" (with sales/marketing
• Deep understanding of Microsoft CSP, Azure consumption, and M365 licensing models.
• Data-driven decision maker, not just a "gut feel" leader.
• High EQ—able to manage the tension between sales (who promise fast delivery) and delivery (who need time to do it right).
• Results-oriented and comfortable with private equity or board-level reporting.
