Job Title: Business Development Executive
Location: Lagos
Role Summary
The Business Development Executive will play a critical role in driving business expansion, identifying new opportunities, acquiring new clients, and strengthening Bridgsite’s market presence, particularly in engineering, construction, fabrication, logistics, and infrastructure projects.
This role requires a proactive, strategic thinker who can convert opportunities into revenue while maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Business Expansion & Strategy:
Develop and execute business growth strategies aligned with Bridgsite’s strategic objectives.
Identify emerging markets, project opportunities, and expansion regions.
Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and feasibility assessments.
Build business cases for entering new markets or introducing new services.
Drive strategic partnerships with government agencies, EPC companies, local communities, vendors, and corporate organisations.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
Source, identify, and secure new clients across the construction, oil & gas, and infrastructure sectors.
Lead client presentations, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
Maintain strong follow-up activities to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.
Manage bid preparation, tender documentation, and RFP responses in collaboration with the technical/procurement teams.
Represent Bridgsite at industry events, exhibitions, and stakeholder meetings.
Revenue & Performance Management:
Deliver on monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Track and report on sales pipelines, opportunities, conversions, and challenges.
Provide weekly performance updates to the MD or BDM.
Collaborate closely with finance and operations teams to ensure successful project onboarding and delivery.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
New revenue generated (monthly/quarterly).
Number of new clients acquired per month.
Monthly sales pipeline growth & conversion rate.
Weekly client meetings, proposals, and tender submissions.
Market intelligence reports delivered monthly.
Strategic partnerships initiated or secured per quarter.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
4 - 7 years’ experience in Business Development, preferably within engineering, construction, fabrication, or oil & gas.
Strong understanding of Nigerian procurement processes, NNPC/NCDMB frameworks, and infrastructure project cycles.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive targets.
Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel for project sourcing and client engagement.
