Job Title: Gas Shop Manager

Location: Eneka - Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Gas Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the gas retail outlet, ensuring smooth sales, excellent customer service, compliance with safety standards, and efficient inventory management.
• The manager leads the team, maintains operational standards, and drives business growth.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Management:

• Supervise daily activities of the gas shop to ensure efficiency and smooth operations.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and dispensing of gas products.
• Monitor cash flow, sales, and daily transactions.
• Staff Management:
• Recruit, train, and manage shop attendants and support staff.
• Assign duties, monitor performance, and provide guidance to ensure high productivity.
• Handle employee schedules, attendance, and leave.

Customer Service:

• Ensure prompt, courteous, and professional service to all customers.
• Address customer complaints and resolve issues efficiently.
• Promote safety and proper usage of gas products to customers.

Inventory & Stock Control:

• Monitor gas stock levels, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely ordering.
• Inspect deliveries for quality and compliance with safety standards.
• Manage storage conditions to prevent leakage, contamination, or hazards.

Safety & Compliance:

• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular safety checks and drills for staff and premises.
• Maintain documentation related to safety, compliance, and inspections.

Sales & Marketing:

• Develop strategies to increase sales and customer base.
• Implement promotions, loyalty programs, or partnerships to boost revenue.

Reporting & Administration:

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales, inventory, and performance.
• Maintain proper records of transactions, expenses, and employee details.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma; tertiary education in business management is a plus.
• Previous experience in retail management or gas/energy sector preferred.
• Knowledge of safety standards in handling LPG or gas cylinders.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Basic financial management and reporting skills.
