About the Role

• We are seeking a qualified and experienced Maintenance Officer to join our Feed Milling Operations team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of plant machinery and equipment through effective preventive maintenance planning, prompt response to breakdowns, and strict adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspection, servicing, and maintenance of feed milling equipment including hammer mills, pelletizers, mixers, conveyors, elevators, and packaging machines.
• Provide quick and effective response to machine breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all plant equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and execute corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and operational standards.
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Collaborate effectively with production and technical teams to ensure smooth plant operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any related discipline.
• At least 2–3years’ relevant experience in feed milling, agro-processing, or manufacturing plant maintenance.
• Relevant technical or safety certifications will be an added advantage.
• Required Competencies:
• Strong Technical and Engineering Skills in industrial plant maintenance.
• Excellent Problem-Solving Skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Demonstrated Practical Hands-On Skills in mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Effective Planning and Organizing Skills for preventive maintenance scheduling.
• Sound knowledge of Safety and Compliance Standards in an industrial environment.
• Good Communication and Leadership Skills with the ability to work within a team and supervise.
