We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Manager, IPM/Turnkey Well Delivery

Location: Lagos

Reporting Line: Head of IPM & Turnkey Well Delivery

Role Summary

• The Business Development Manager will lead growth initiatives for Integrated Project Management (IPM) and Turnkey Well Delivery services in Nigeria.
• The role is responsible for originating, developing, and closing well delivery opportunities across IOCs, NOCs, indigenous E&P companies, and marginal field operators, while positioning the company as a trusted well delivery partner in the Nigerian upstream sector.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Engagement

• Develop and manage a strong pipeline of IPM and Turnkey well delivery opportunities
• Engage clients to understand well objectives, development plans, budgets, and commercial drivers
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with IOC/NOC teams, indigenous operators, JV partners, and asset managers
• Lead client presentations, capability pitches, and commercial discussions
• Represent the company at industry events, bid conferences, and technical forums

Opportunity Development & Tendering:

• Lead tender identification, qualification, and bid/no-bid decisions
• Coordinate preparation of technical and commercial proposals for IPM, Turnkey, and integrated well delivery contracts
• Work closely with drilling, completions and project teams to develop fit-forpurpose solutions
• Align scope, risk allocation, and pricing strategy
• Support contract negotiations through to award

Market Intelligence & Strategy:

• Monitor operator drilling programs, field developments, marginal field activity, and competitor positioning
• Track tender pipelines, rig activity, and well programs
• Provide input into account plans, country strategy, and growth initiatives
• Support development of Nigeria-specific IPM and Turnkey offerings

Internal Coordination:

• Act as the commercial interface between clients and internal delivery teams
• Ensure commercial commitments align with operational capability and risk appetite
• Support smooth transition from bid phase to execution
• Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement

Experience & Qualifications Experience

• 8–12 years upstream oil & gas experience
• 4–5 years in a business development or commercial role
• Direct exposure to drilling, completions, IPM or Turnkey well delivery contracts
• Prior experience with an international drilling, completions, or integrated services company in Nigeria
• Proven track record supporting or winning well delivery contracts
• Strong understanding of the Nigerian upstream and marginal field environment

Technical & Commercial Knowledge:

• Working knowledge of the well delivery lifecycle (drilling, completions, testing, intervention)
• Understanding of IPM vs Turnkey contracting, cost drivers, and risk allocation
• Familiarity with lump-sum and reimbursable contract structures
• Ability to translate technical solutions into clear commercial value propositions

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geosciences, or related discipline
• MBA or commercial qualification is an advantage
