Job Title: Support Services Officer

Job Summary
The Support Services Officer will provide operational and technical support to field and office teams in delivering environmental, safety, and engineering support services.
The role involves assisting with logistics coordination, equipment handling, site support, documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards during project execution.
The ideal candidate should be proactive, physically fit for field assignments, and capable of supporting multidisciplinary teams across environmental monitoring, HSE activities, and technical service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Field Support
Assist project teams during environmental monitoring, safety inspections, and technical field operations.
Support the setup, handling, and maintenance of environmental and safety monitoring equipment.
Participate in site visits, inspections, and project implementation activities.
Provide on-site assistance during environmental assessments, safety audits, and calibration activities.
Logistics & Equipment Support:
Support logistics coordination for field projects including equipment mobilization and demobilization.
Assist in maintaining an inventory of safety equipment, environmental monitoring tools, and engineering materials.
Ensure proper storage, maintenance, and safe handling of equipment.
Administrative Support:
Prepare and maintain basic operational records, reports, and documentation related to field activities.
Assist in compiling project data and supporting report preparation for environmental and safety projects.
Support procurement and documentation of materials required for projects.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards during field operations.
Assist in implementing safety procedures and guidelines during project activities.
Support safety briefings and toolbox meetings before field work.
General Support Duties:
Assist with waste management operations and environmental compliance activities.
Provide support during HSE trainings and technical workshops organized by the company.
Perform other operational support duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or Project Manager.
Key Requirements
Educational Qualification and Experience:
B.Sc. or HND in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or other science-related discipline.
2 – 5 years relevant work experience in environmental services, engineering support, HSE, or technical field operations.
Skills & Competencies:
Basic understanding of environmental monitoring and safety practices.
Strong organizational and logistics coordination skills.
Ability to work in field environments and project sites.
Good documentation and reporting skills.
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, and reporting tools).
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Additional Requirements:
Male candidate preferred due to field and operational responsibilities.
Age range: 30 – 35 years.
Physically fit and willing to travel to project locations when required.
Knowledge of HSE practices or environmental compliance will be an added advantage.
