We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: IT & Digital Skills Instructor

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Part-time

Role Description

• This is a part-time on-site role located in Port Harcourt and its environs for an IT & Digital Skills Trainer.
• The Trainer will deliver engaging training sessions on IT and digital skills (IT Essentials), follow company course modules and lab materials, and deliver course content to meet the needs of learners at varying skill levels.
• Responsibilities include identifying skill gaps, providing hands-on support to participants, assessing progress, and ensuring learning objectives are met effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom and/or virtual training sessions in various IT & Digital Skills (IT Essentials).
• Teach foundational and intermediate topics such as:
• Computer Hardware & Software Fundamentals
• Operating Systems (Windows & Linux)
• Networking Basics (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN)
• Cybersecurity Fundamentals
• Cloud Computing Basics
• Microsoft Office & Productivity Tools
• Conduct practical lab sessions and demonstrations.
• Deliver lesson plans, course materials, assignments, and assessments.
• Prepare students for relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft).
• Monitor student performance through quizzes, projects, and exams.
• Provide mentorship and career guidance to students.
• Maintain accurate attendance and performance records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of practical IT experience.
• Prior teaching, training, or facilitation experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of networking, operating systems, and IT support.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for beginners and intermediate learners.

Certifications:

• CompTIA (A+, Network+, Security+)
• Cisco (CCNA)
• Microsoft (M365, Azure Fundamentals)
• ITIL Foundation.
