We also deliver nationwide, making efficiency and coordination crucial in this role.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Female Retail Store Supervisor

Location: Wuse Zone 1, Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time
Industry: Retail - Home Décor, Kitchenware, Gifts, Cards, Kids Items, Consumables
Working Schedule: 4 days a Week and 2 Compulsory Sundays in a Month

Job Summary

  • Home Bargains Nigeria Limited is seeking a highly experienced, results-driven Female Retail Store Supervisor to lead and oversee day-to-day store operations.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, driving sales growth, maintaining proper inventory levels, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
Store Leadership & Operations:

  • Supervise and manage all aspects of daily store operations to ensure efficiency and profitability.
  • Develop and implement effective sales and operational strategies tailored to the retail categories we offer.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment in line with brand standards.
  • Maintain proper stock levels on shelves and support in receiving and arranging new stock.
  • Ensure all products are properly tagged, displayed, and rotated.

Team Management& StaffCoordination:

  • Lead, mentor, train, and supervise store staff to ensure high productivity and excellent service delivery.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support staff development to maintain high morale and teamwork.
  • Monitor attendance and enforce company policies.
  • Onboarding and training new team members on product knowledge, customer service standards, and company policies.
  • Assign tasks,monitor staff productivity, and maintain discipline and professionalism on the shop floor.

Sales & Customer Experience:

  • Drive sales performance by promoting products, monitoring trends, and motivating the team to meet targets.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service at all touchpoints, resolving escalated customer issues professionally.
  • Analyse customer feedback and suggest improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Inventory & Merchandising:

  • Work with the Inventory Officer and Admin Officer to track stock movement and report low-stock items.
  • Conduct inventory counts and help monitor product levels.
  • Identify fast-moving and slow-moving products and recommend strategies to improve performance.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of stock transfers, damages, and returns.
  • Help create attractive, on-brand product displays that align with store themes.
  • Refresh merchandising layouts as inventory or seasonal themes change.
  • Ensure shelves and display tables are neat, visually appealing, and fully stocked.
  • Styling products for in-store presentation and marketing content.

Financial & Administrative Oversight:

  • Monitor store budgets, daily sales reports, expenses, and financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial procedures, cash handling, and record-keeping.
  • Recommend cost-saving opportunities and operational improvements.

Business Development:

  • Identify opportunities for product expansion, promotional activities, and market growth.
  • Keep tabs on competitors and industry trends to make informed business decisions.
  • Suggest innovative ideas to increase footfall, sales, and brand visibility.

Compliance & Reporting:

  • Enforce company policies, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Prepare daily sales summaries, staff attendance reports, and incident reports where necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and security protocols within the store.

Requirements

  • Qualification: BSc / HND in Business Management,Supply Chain Management or related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years proven experience as a Retail Store Supervisor or similar role within the retail industry.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and strategic decision-making skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of retail sales, merchandising, and customer service best practices.
  • Experience in inventory control, supplier management, and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines.
