We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: IT Manager

Location: Benin City, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

• The IT Manager will lead and manage the organization’s technology infrastructure, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient IT systems to support tolling operations, traffic management systems, weighbridge operations, finance, HR, and other business functions across the concession.

Key Responsibilities
IT Strategy & Governance:

• Develop and implement the IT strategy aligned with BAECC’s operational and concession objectives.
• Establish IT policies, procedures, and standards in line with regulatory and industry best practices.
• Oversee IT budgeting, cost control, and vendor management.

Infrastructure & Systems Management:

• Manage servers, networks (LAN/WAN), internet connectivity, and cloud services.
• Ensure high availability of tolling systems, CCTV surveillance, ERP systems, and weighbridge software.
• Supervise installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
• Ensure effective disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place.

Tolling & Operational Technology Support:

• Oversee toll collection systems (manual and automated).
• Support integration of Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), traffic monitoring systems, and related technologies.
• Ensure uptime and data accuracy across all toll plazas.

Cybersecurity & Data Protection:

• Implement cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems.
• Conduct routine system audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian data protection regulations.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and supervise IT officers, system administrators, and support staff.
• Manage IT helpdesk operations and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Conduct performance appraisals and recommend training programs.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

• Liaise with technology vendors and service providers.
• Manage SLAs to ensure service delivery standards are met.
• Provide regular IT performance reports to management.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• System uptime percentage (target ≥ 99%).
• Incident response and resolution time.
• Cybersecurity incident rate.
• Successful implementation of IT projects within budget and timeline.
• User satisfaction rating.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, Cisco, Microsoft, CEH) are desirable.
• Minimum of 7 – 10 years IT experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in infrastructure management, networking, and cybersecurity.
• Experience supporting tolling or transport infrastructure systems is an added advantage.

• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and network security.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced infrastructure environment.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily site-based with occasional travel along the expressway corridor.
• May require after-hours support during system upgrades or critical incidents.
