Job Title: Business Development Executive - Transformation Office
The Business Development Executive is responsible for supporting the company’s growth by identifying new business opportunities, acquiring high-value customers, developing strategic partnerships, and increasing revenue within the power and energy secto
The role involves strategic planning, customer acquisition, contract negotiation, market analysis, and supporting energy transformation initiatives including solar, embedded generation, and bilateral power agreements.
The position also supports ASI Engineering Limited’s investment and operational goals within Kaduna Electric and the broader energy ecosystem.
Responsibilities (Duties)
Business Growth and Strategy:
Develop and implement business growth strategies.
Identify new market opportunities and revenue streams.
Design innovative energy service offerings.
Track and improve performance using KPIs.
Customer Acquisition and Revenue Expansion
Identify and acquire Maximum Demand (MD) customers.
Manage the full customer acquisition cycle.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Convert customer demand into revenue.
Partnership and Stakeholder Management:
Build partnerships with:
Independent Power Producers (IPPs)
Government agencies
Regulators
Financial institutions
Private sector clients
Represent the company at industry events and meetings.
Support negotiations and strategic agreements.
Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct market research and competitive analysis.
Identify new business opportunities.
Analyze customer trends and market data.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with NERC and NESI regulations.
Conduct risk assessments and due diligence.
Provide recommendations on business risks and strategy.
Technology and Digital Support:
Use CRM systems to manage customer relationships.
Monitor contracts and customer performance.
Improve digital processes and efficiency.
Leadership and Team Support
Support team development and performance improvement.
Help build a strong business development team.
Promote innovation and teamwork.
Sustainability and Energy Innovation:
Support solar and clean energy solutions.
Promote environmentally sustainable business models.
Education Requirements
Minimum education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
Preferred education:
MBA or postgraduate degree (added advantage).
Experience Requirements
Minimum experience:
10 - 15 years of business development experience.
