Principal MEP Engineer at a Major Conglomerate

A major conglomerate, headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, with substantial assets across major Nigerian cities and an expanding portfolio in West Africa, is strengthening its Property and Real Estate business, and is inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Principal MEP Engineer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Lead MEP design and coordination for complex projects.
• Develop and manage MEP design packages and documentation.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian building codes and standards.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Mentor junior MEP engineers and interns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
• Registered with the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
• Minimum of 20 years experience in MEP design and project management.
• Relevant experience in complex building projects including renovations.

Other Requirements:

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MEP design software (e.g., AutoCAD MEP, Revit).
• Strong understanding of Nigeriian building codes.
• Experience with construction project management.
