Job Description
The Head of Sales & Marketing will lead all client acquisition, relationship management, brand strategy, and revenue generation initiatives for the bank.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a boardroom-level commercial mandate requiring a highly strategic and performance-driven executive capable of building a high-impact sales organization, driving customer growth, and strengthening the brand across local and cross-border markets.
This role carries full accountability for achieving revenue targets, market penetration, and customer engagement KPIs.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy aligned with organizational growth objectives.
Lead customer acquisition, retention, and engagement initiatives across retail, corporate, and institutional client segments.
Build and manage a high-performance sales team with clear targets and KPIs.
Oversee brand development, market positioning, and communication strategies to enhance visibility and credibility.
Identify and pursue high-value partnerships, corporate relationships, and cross-border market opportunities.
Conduct market intelligence, competitive analysis, and customer insights to inform strategy.
Optimize sales processes, CRM systems, and go-to-market execution for efficiency and scalability.
Collaborate with product and finance teams to ensure sales strategy aligns with product offerings and pricing architecture.
Report regularly to the executive leadership team on sales performance, pipeline health, market share, and customer metrics.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
Certifications in digital marketing, sales management, or strategic business development advantageous.
Experience:
Minimum of 12 years’ progressive experience in sales, marketing, or commercial leadership within fintech, banking, or financial services.
Minimum of 7 years in a senior leadership role with full P&L accountability.
Proven track record of executing high-value client acquisition and revenue generation initiatives, with measurable annual revenue targets achieved.
Experience leading cross-functional teams, managing high-value client relationships, and driving market share growth.
Strong exposure to cross-border payments, digital banking adoption, and financial product commercialization.
Other Requirements:
Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable business impact within the first 90 days, including revenue generation, market penetration, and client acquisition KPIs.
Exceptional professional integrity, ethics, and leadership presence.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, high-value fintech environment.
Willingness to undergo background verification, sales performance review, and client reference checks.
Skills:
