Job Description

• The CFO – Head of Finance will hold full executive responsibility for financial strategy, capital management, risk governance, and regulatory compliance across the organization.
• Reporting directly to the CEO, this boardroom-level mandate requires a seasoned finance executive capable of driving profitability, optimizing liquidity, implementing robust financial controls, and supporting scalable growth in a high-performance fintech environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead all finance functions, including accounting, treasury, FP&A, capital planning, and regulatory reporting.
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives and investor expectations.
• Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, including CBN and relevant international frameworks.
• Oversee liquidity management, capital allocation, and balance sheet optimization.
• Provide strategic insight to support executive decision-making and long-term growth initiatives.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario planning.
• Manage relationships with auditors, regulators, investors, and funding partners.
• Implement robust internal controls, governance frameworks, and financial systems for operational efficiency.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to track financial performance, liquidity ratios, cost efficiency, and profitability.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and investment initiatives, including due diligence and structuring.

Requirements
Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
• Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CFA highly desirable.

Experience:

• Minimum of 12 years progressive financial leadership experience, with exposure to fintech banking, commercial banking, or financial services.
• Minimum of 7 years in a senior executive finance role (CFO, Finance Director, or equivalent) with P&L, capital, and balance sheet responsibility.
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-billion Naira transaction volumes and high-value investment structuring.
• Proven track record in financial planning, treasury management, and regulatory reporting.
• Experience leading finance teams, implementing financial systems, and influencing executive decision-making.
