Role Overview

• The Design Manager will lead the creative design team, overseeing the creation, execution, and delivery of high-quality visual assets across multiple projects.
• This role combines strategic vision, design leadership, and project management to ensure that all creative outputs meet client expectations, brand guidelines, and deadlines.
• The ideal candidate is highly creative, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while mentoring and inspiring a team of designers.

Key Responsibilities
Creative Leadership & Strategy:

• Lead and inspire the design team, fostering creativity, collaboration, and professional growth.
• Develop and maintain the visual identity for clients and internal projects, ensuring alignment with brand strategy.
• Participate in creative strategy sessions with account managers, marketing, and content teams.
• Provide design guidance, feedback, and mentorship to junior and senior designers.

Project & Team Management:

• Assign tasks, set deadlines, and monitor project progress to ensure timely delivery of design outputs.
• Maintain high standards of quality and creativity across all design projects.
• Coordinate with clients, account managers, and other teams to understand project goals and requirements.
• Manage workflow, resources, and design schedules efficiently.

Design Execution & Oversight:

• Oversee the production of digital and print assets, including graphics, branding materials, social media visuals, presentations, and campaigns.
• Ensure designs are aligned with client expectations and brand guidelines.
• Review and approve design work before delivery, ensuring attention to detail and quality.
• Stay updated on design trends, software, and tools to drive innovation and creativity in the team.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design with marketing, media production, and content strategies.
• Communicate effectively with clients to present design concepts, explain decisions, and gather feedback.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or related field with minimum of 5 years of experience in design, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing creative direction, branding, and digital/print design work.
• Proficiency in design software: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro), Figma, Sketch, Canva, or other relevant tools.
• Strong understanding of branding, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in agency or marketing environments.
• Knowledge of motion graphics, animation, and video production.
• Ability to coach and mentor designers, fostering professional growth and creativity.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

Salary
N300,000 / Month.
