Job Purpose
Why does the job exist?
To coordinate Process Maintenance Team in efficient manner that will attend to machine breakdowns promptly, reduce downtime and ensure maximum equipment availability for high quality products.

To ensure PPM Maintenance and Overhauling activities are carried out according to schedules.
Investigate and analyse the reason of breakdown for equipment, trouble shooting and monitor performance off plants. Manage day to day maintenance/ breakdown and operational activities.
Coordination with electrical, mechanical, instrument workshops and utilities for timely completion of maintenance jobs.
Manage spare parts for process equipment’s, control maintenance cost and energy consumption
To assist in the coordination of all risk management activities in the process section
To manage team and individual performance through regular reviews, monitoring objectives and ensuring development needs are identified and actioned.
Manage efficient running of process plant
Liaise and meet regularly with production and technical teams for targets/quality.
Ensure prompt and relevant attention to job request from production floor.
Ensure availability of engineering spares to guarantee smooth running of the factory.
Principal Accountabilities
The key outputs of the job:
Any requirement for organizing & planning including own work and the allocation of resources
Typical decisions made and if they are advisory or directly responsible for the outcome
Manage all process plant for high availability and quality productions through effective planned maintenance activities, spare inventory management and relevant training
Ensure breakdowns and other repair work are promptly attended to minimise loss of production hours
Design and modify mechanical processes and equipment for better industrial engineering leading to high qualitative productivity and cost savings
Facilitate autonomous maintenance across all process plant.
Maintain up-to-date schedules for the regular maintenance of all process plants and machinery including preventive maintenance on weekly basis
Ensure regular plant maintenance in accordance with approved maintenance schedules in conjunction with production programs from time to time
Recommend conditions for alterations to existing plant and machinery to improve overall efficiency
Liaise with Logistics in planning and ordering for electrical spare parts
To maintain accurate stock record and ensure periodic reconciliation
Constant availability of equipment and plants for production use.
Effective delivery of production targets.
Execution of projects at the best prices/ cost
Elimination/Reduction of downtime due to machine break down
Evident preventive/corrective maintenance culture
Efficient management of workshop resources, staff, time, spares and budget.
Respond to emergency repair requests.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Required Qualification
OND / HND qualification in Mechanical / Instrumentation Engineering or related disciplines.
Technical / Professional Experience:
3 - 5 years minimum work experience
Sound Knowledge of Engineering Practices
Software Knowledge
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to withstand stress and work under pressure.
Internal & External Relationships:
To work with other staff continually to improve performance while adhering to legislative and company standards.
To work closely as a team with the Line Manager and other leaders as to deliver set objectives.
