Job Title: Account Intern

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities 
Financial Record Keeping:

• Assist in recording daily financial transactions in accounting software.
• Maintain proper filing of invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
• Update journals, ledgers, and accounting schedules.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Accounts Payable & Receivable Support:

• Assist in processing supplier invoices and preparing payment vouchers.
• Support preparation of customer invoices.
• Assist in monitoring receivables and following up on outstanding payments.
• Reconcile vendor and customer statements.

Bank & Cash Management Support:

• Assist in preparing bank reconciliation statements.
• Support petty cash reconciliation and expense tracking.
• Identify discrepancies and escalate to supervisor.

.Financial Reporting Support:

• Assist in preparation of monthly financial reports.
• Support preparation of schedules for management reporting.
• Compile financial data required for audits and compliance reviews.

Tax & Compliance Support:

• Assist in preparation of VAT, WHT, and PAYE schedules.
• Support statutory compliance documentation.
• Assist during internal and external audit exercises.
