Hobark International Limited (HIL) is the parent company of the Hobark group operating in the oil and gas industry. The company was incorporated in 1998, starting as a staffing agency based in Port Harcourt. Currently we have offices in 4 countries with our head office in Lagos.

Job Title: Machine Shop Manager (Operations & Business Development)

Locations: Port Harcourt, Rivers State and Ghana

Job Summary

• We are looking for a highly experienced Machine Shop Manager to lead and grow our machining and threading operations across Nigeria and Ghana.
• This role combines full operational leadership of the Machine Shop with strategic business development responsibilities to drive revenue growth, market expansion, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead CNC and manual machining, threading, refurbishment, and fabrication operations in line with API standards (5CT, 7-1, 7-2, DS1).
• Ensure operational efficiency, safety compliance, quality control, and cost optimization.
• Plan, schedule, and allocate machining jobs to meet client timelines and service-level agreements.
• Supervise and develop machinists and technicians to maintain a high-performing team.
• Drive business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities and expanding the client base.
• Prepare and support technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and cost estimates.
• Monitor sales performance, revenue forecasts, and market trends to improve competitiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in an oil & gas machine shop environment.
• Strong knowledge of CNC & manual machining operations.
• In-depth understanding of API 5CT, API 7-1, API 7-2, and DS1 standards.
• Proven leadership, commercial acumen, and ability to drive operational excellence.

Salary
N850,000 – N1,100,000 / Month.
