Job Title: Business Development / Marketing Officer

Description
The Business Development / Marketing Officer is responsible for growing the customer base, revenue and brand visibility of the client.
Business Development / Marketing Officer seeks new potential clients, partnerships, and market opportunities for the client's business.
The Business Development / Marketing Officer promotes the brand through targeted campaigns and presentations within relevant markets.
The role centers on relationship building and revenue growth. The role involves winning new business and positioning the client as a leading legal information provider in the market.
Job Responsibilities
Develop annual sales targets for the client and see to their implementation.
Ensure that sales targets are met, thereby contributing directly to the client’s business growth and profitability.
Establish and maintain partnerships with legal bodies, academic institutions, and professional associations to ensure the marketing of the client's products.
Organize sales promotion activities to market and promote the client's products.
Recommend client retention policies to improve loyalty and repeat business.
Design competitive response strategies to maintain the client’s market advantage.
Recommend digital marketing approaches and direction to expand reach and visibility.
Support leadership in strategic planning sessions with data-driven insights.
Ensure visibility and promotion of the client's business on social media
Provide reports to management and present insights into market performance, for continued improvement of the client's marketing activities.
Ensure policy compliance and quality standards are maintained consistently in client engagement, branding, and professional conduct across the unit.
Conduct market research to analyze trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences regarding the client's products.
Assist in preparing and managing marketing budgets to ensure cost-effective campaign execution.
Any other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related field; MBA or relevant certifications preferred.
Proven track record of at least 5 years in business development, sales, marketing or a related leadership role.
Experience in managing B2B, B2C, and B2G partnerships and projects.
Strong understanding of market research, industry trends, and competitive analysis.
Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to network effectively.
Expertise in sales planning, contract negotiation, and closing high-value deals.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify opportunities.
Proficiency in creating impactful presentations and delivering them to diverse audiences.
Strong leadership and team collaboration skills to work across departments and deliver client solutions.
Persuasive capacity and proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Proficiency with digital marketing tools and customer relationship management (CRM) software is an advantage.
Experience in digital media, content creation, partnerships, sponsorships and market expansion is desirable.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
