Medlag Consult was set up by the College of Medicine of the University of Lagos in 1994 to provide professional development for healthcare workers in the area of research and training as well as provide technical and professional Consultancy, in addition to creating avenue for revenue generation for the College through fees chargeable for the above activities.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accounts Officer I

Location: Lagos

Summary

• The Accounts Officer I will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the company’s day-to-day fiscal operations.

 Responsibilities

• Processing invoices, verifying their accuracy, and monitoring incoming and outgoing funds.
• Reconciling bank statements, general ledgers, and credit card accounts regularly.
• Maintaining up-to-date journal entries and financial records, including labor and material costs.
• Assisting with tax returns, VAT filings, and ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.
• Managing monthly payroll, including timesheets and statutory deductions.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Responding to account-related queries and following up on outstanding payments.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting and/or Finance.
• NYSC certificate with relevant work experience.
• Professional membership (ICAN, ACCA, AAT) is an added advantage.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
• High attention to detail and ability to interpret financial data accurately.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet strict deadlines.
