Job Title: IT Officer
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Role Summary
The IT Officer is responsible for ensuring the effective functioning, security, and reliability of IT systems, infrastructure, and digital tools across all subsidiaries.
The role provides day-to-day technical support, system maintenance, and user assistance to enable seamless business operations and enhance productivity.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & Systems Management:
Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of all IT systems across company’s locations, HQ, and subsidiaries.
Manage installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware (computers, printers, routers, POS systems, CCTV, biometric devices, etc.).
Oversee network connectivity (LAN, Wi-Fi, internet services) to ensure uptime and optimal performance across all locations.
Monitor system performance and proactively resolve IT issues before they affect operations.
Manage system access controls and user permissions in line with company policy.
Technical Support & User Assistance:
Provide timely first-level and second-level IT support to staff across all departments and locations.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Support onboarding and offboarding processes by setting up and deactivating user accounts, emails, and system access.
Train staff on the effective use of IT systems, tools, and basic troubleshooting practices.
Maintain a helpdesk log and track resolution timelines for all IT issues.
Systems, Applications & Data Management
Support the effective use of business applications such as Zenoti, HR systems, finance tools, collaboration platforms, and other operational software.
Ensure regular system updates, patches, and backups are completed and documented.
Assist in data management, system reporting, and basic analytics as required by management.
Work closely with vendors and service providers for system upgrades, integrations, and maintenance.
IT Security & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to IT security policies, data protection standards, and access control procedures.
Implement basic cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems from unauthorized access, malware, and breaches.
Monitor and report any security incidents or risks promptly to management.
Ensure regular backups and disaster recovery processes are in place and tested.
Vendor & Asset Management:
Liaise with IT vendors, service providers, and consultants to ensure cost-effective and quality service delivery.
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT assets and licenses across the group.
Support procurement decisions for IT equipment and software, ensuring value for money and business suitability.
Supervise IT-related repairs, upgrades, and installations as required.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
Prepare and submit periodic IT reports covering system uptime, incidents, asset status, and improvement initiatives.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology, automation, and better system usage.
Support other IT-related duties as may be reasonably assigned by management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Resolution of IT issues within agreed timelines
Maintenance of system uptime across all locations
Zero major security breaches or data loss incidents
Accuracy in IT asset records.
Ideal Candidate Profile
BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Networking, Cybersecurity) are an advantage
2–3 years’ experience in an IT support or systems administration role
Experience supporting multi-location operations is an advantage
Experience working with POS systems, ERP/HR systems, and cloud-based tool
Ability to organize a daily workload according to priorities
A team player with leadership skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and time management.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proposed Salary
N200,000 – N250,000 Monthly Net.
