Position Summary
The Brand Manager is responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, managing day-to-day client relationships, and ensuring seamless delivery of all brand and marketing activities.
This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance client expectations with internal team capabilities while driving results that support client business objectives.
You'll work closely with the Creative Strategist to develop and execute integrated brand strategies, coordinate cross-functional teams (creative, content, social media), and ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
This is a client-facing role that values strong communication, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
What You'll Do
Client Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships.
Conduct regular client meetings (virtual and in-person) to review performance, present strategies, and gather feedback.
Understand each client's business objectives, challenges, target audiences, and competitive landscape
Anticipate client needs and proactively recommend solutions that drive business results.
Manage client expectations while advocating for realistic timelines and strategic approaches.
Handle client communications via WhatsApp, email, video calls, and in-person meetings with professionalism and responsiveness.
Brand Strategy & Execution:
Collaborate with the Creative Strategist to develop comprehensive brand strategies and campaign plans for client accounts.
Translate business objectives into actionable marketing and content strategies.
Develop and maintain brand positioning, messaging frameworks, and communication guidelines for clients.
Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints including social media, website, print, and marketing materials.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic recommendations.
Create strategic briefs for creative team, ensuring clear communication of objectives and requirements.
Project & Campaign Management:
Manage end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns and brand initiatives across multiple clients.
Coordinate cross-functional teams including Creative Designer, Content Creator, Creative Writer, and Social Media Manager.
Develop project timelines, manage workflows, and ensure on-time delivery of all client deliverables.
Review and approve all client-facing work (social media content, designs, copy, videos) before delivery.
Track campaign performance and report results to clients with actionable insights and recommendations.
Manage campaign budgets and ensure projects stay within scope and financial parameters.
Account Growth & Development:
Identify opportunities for account growth through additional services, expanded scope, or new initiatives.
Prepare proposals and presentations for new services or campaign ideas to existing clients.
Monitor client satisfaction and proactively address concerns before they escalate.
Conduct quarterly business reviews showcasing results, insights, and strategic recommendations.
Collaborate with leadership on pricing discussions, contract renewals, and scope expansions.
Internal Collaboration & Operations:
Work closely with the Creative Strategist to align on strategic direction and creative approaches.
Provide clear, detailed briefs to internal teams with context, objectives, and success criteria.
Facilitate feedback loops between clients and creative teams, translating feedback into actionable revisions.
Participate in team meetings, contributing insights from client perspectives and market observations.
Maintain organized documentation of client communications, strategies, and project histories.
Use Zoho Workplace and internal systems to manage projects, communications, and documentation.
Essential Requirements
4-5 years of experience in brand management, account management, marketing, or client services (agency experience strongly preferred).
Proven track record managing multiple client accounts simultaneously and delivering results.
Strong understanding of brand strategy, marketing principles, and integrated campaign development.
Excellent client-facing skills with ability to build relationships, manage expectations, and navigate difficult conversations.
Strategic thinking ability - can connect business objectives to marketing tactics and measure success appropriately.
Strong project management skills with experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing timelines.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for client presentations, reports, and internal briefs.
Analytical mindset with ability to interpret campaign data and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
Proficiency with project management methodologies and keeping multiple workstreams organized.
Understanding of Nigerian business landscape and how local brands operate.
Comfortable using WhatsApp as a primary client communication channel alongside email and video calls.
Professional demeanor and polished presentation skills for client meetings.
