Job Title: Cake Decorator

Location: Lekki / Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• The Cake Decorator is responsible for applying icing, chocolate and other confectionary delights to cakes and pastries, using airbrushes and carving tools and ensuring that health standards are met.
• This positiontypically entails standing for long periods of time and working according to a tight production schedule that sets quotas for how many of a particular item must be produced each day.
• You are expected to have a steady hand and demonstrate creativity, artistic ability, attention to details, teamwork and customer service skills. In addition, you should be numerate and able to perform simple math problems to follow recipes.
• You must be able to employ a variety of modern techniques to decorate cakes, using food colours in the right quantities to make appealing icings and decorating fondant cakes.
• The role of a Cake Decorator involves performing various functions to achieve beautiful and delicious products made with love.

Job Functions

• Assist to transfer cake batter and shaped dough portions on greased or floured containers and
• further put them into oven.
• Modify drafts or thermostats to adjust temperature of oven.
• Prepare and cook ingredients required for decorating cakes, filling pie and other desserts.
• Manage all mixing of colours for icings and make sugar ornaments.
• Prepare frosting or fondant to be placed on cakes.
• Manipulate the frosting or fondant to create a custom designed cake based on instructions
• provided by the customer.
• Assemble and creatively decorate cakes and pastries.
• Administer output of all required bakery products.
• 9Ensure that products are properly packaged and delivered safely to customers’ locations on the
• dates and time requested.

• In addition to the above duties, you will carryout such other duties as the companyreasonably directs from time to time.

Requirements

• Must have proven experience in cake decoration.
• Strong creativity and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Must reside in or around Lekki

Salary
N100,000 - N120,000 monthly.
