We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Officer to help grow the adoption of MyChurchNow, a digital platform designed to help churches manage communication, members, events, donations, and engagement within their congregation.
  • The primary responsibility of this role is to identify, approach, and onboard churches onto the MyChurchNowplatform, while alsobuildingstrong relationships with church leaders and administrators to ensure continued engagement and satisfaction.
  • The ideal candidate is confident in sales, communication, presentations, and relationship management, and is passionate about helping churches adopt digital tools that improve how they serve their communities. Key Responsibilities

Church Acquisition & Onboarding:

  • Identify and reach out to churches through email, phone calls, social media, and in-person networking.
  • Present and demonstrate the MyChurchNow platform to pastors, church administrators, and leadership teams.
  • Successfully onboard new churches onto the platform and guide them through the setup process.
  • Support churches in creating their profiles and configuring their church information.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with church leaders and administrators.
  • Provide ongoing support to churches using the platform.
  • Ensure churches actively use key features such as announcements, events, media uploads, donations, and member management.
  • Collect feedback from churches to help improve the platform.

Sales & Growth:

  • Develop strategies to increase church adoption and engagement.
  • Track outreach, conversations, and onboarding progress.
  • Achieve monthly targets for church signups and platform adoption.
  • Identify partnerships with church networks, ministries, and religious organizations.
  • Demonstrations & Presentations:
  • Conduct product demonstrations via Microsoft Teams or in-person meetings.
  • Clearly communicate the value of the platform to church leadership.
  • Deliver presentations to small groups or church administrative teams when required.

Key Features of the Platform You Will Promote:

  • The Business Development Officer will promote features including:
  • Church announcements and communication
  • Event management and RSVP
  • Media uploads (sermons, videos, etc.)
  • Donation and giving page
  • Member and church management
  • Managing member requests
  • Onboarding new members
  • Admin dashboard showing total members, visitors, and first-time guests
  • Required Skills & Qualifications Sales & Business Development:
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and persuasion skills
  • Ability to confidently approach new organizations and build partnerships
  • Experience in lead generation and customer acquisition
  • Communication & Relationship Building:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with church leaders and administrators
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills

Presentation Skills:

  • Ability to deliver engaging product demonstrations
  • Comfortable presenting via Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or in-person meetings

Digital & Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with CRM tools or lead tracking systems
  • Ability to use Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and email tools
  • Comfortable learning and explaining new digital platforms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or account management
  • Experience working with churches, faith-based organizations, or community organizations
  • Background in technology products, SaaS, or digital platforms is an advantage
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Success in this role will be measured by:
  • Number of churches onboarded monthly
  • Number of product demos conducted
  • Church engagement and retention on the platform
  • Quality of relationships with church leaders and administrators
