Job Title: Male Housekeeper

Position Overview

• We are seeking a diligent, detail-oriented, and professional Male Housekeeper with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the hotel and hospitality industry.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining impeccable cleanliness standards in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities, ensuring every guest experiences a comfortable and hygienic environment throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of assigned guest rooms, including making beds, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning bathrooms to the highest standards of hygiene and presentation.
• Ensure all public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and lounges, are consistently clean, well-stocked with supplies, and visually appealing.
• Replace used linens, towels, and amenities promptly, ensuring fresh supplies are properly arranged according to brand standards.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests for additional amenities, supplies, or special cleaning needs, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks, including carpet shampooing, curtain cleaning, window washing, and upholstery care as scheduled.
• Monitor and report inventory levels of cleaning supplies, guest amenities, and linens to the supervisor, ensuring timely replenishment.
• Properly use, maintain, and store all cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any malfunctions or damage to management immediately.
• Immediately report and submit any lost and found items found during cleaning to the supervisor for proper documentation and storage.
• Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and waste disposal procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the housekeeping team and other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements

• SSCE, OND, HND or equivalent qualification; additional certifications in housekeeping operations or hospitality management are an advantage.
• A minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience as a housekeeper in a reputable hotel or hospitality establishment.
• Must be male, as advertised, with a neat and professional appearance at all times.
• Strong knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and housekeeping equipment operation.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness consistently.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact politely with guests and team members.
• Physically fit and able to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks for extended periods; flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Preferred Attributes:

• Integrity and trustworthiness when handling guest belongings and hotel property.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist colleagues.
• Previous experience in a luxury hotel brand is highly desirable.
