We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Hostel Master 

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Description

• The Hostel Parent oversees the daily life of students in the hostel, ensuring their safety, welfare, discipline, and moral development.
• The role involves supervising routines, guiding students, maintaining order in the hostel, and acting in a parental capacity for boarders.

Key Responsibilities
Student Supervision and Welfare:

• Provide care, guidance, and emotional support to students living in the hostel.
• Ensure students follow hostel rules and maintain good behavior.
• Monitor students’ health and report illnesses or concerns to the school management or nurse.
• Ensure students feel safe, respected, and supported in the hostel environment.

Maintaining Discipline:

• Enforce hostel rules, regulations, and daily routines.
• Address behavioral issues promptly and fairly.
• Promote good character, respect, and responsible living among students.

Daily Hostel Management:

• Supervise morning and evening routines.
• Ensure students wake up on time, attend school, and observe study periods.
• Monitor lights out and bedtime schedules.
• Ensure proper use of hostel facilities.

Academic Support:

• Supervise evening prep or study time.
• Encourage students to complete assignments and prepare for classes.
• Identify students who may need academic support and inform school authorities.

Safety and Security:

• Ensure the hostel environment is safe and secure at all times.
• Conduct regular checks of rooms and hostel facilities.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and emergency protocols.

Communication:

• Maintain regular communication with school management regarding student welfare.
• Inform parents and school authorities about serious concerns when necessary.
• Keep records of incidents, health issues, and disciplinary matters.

Hostel Environment:

• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness in rooms and common areas.
• Teach students good hygiene and responsible living habits.
• Encourage cooperation and peaceful living among students.

Salary
N100,000 - N150,000 / Month.
