Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vulcanizer to join our Truck Transport division.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and replacement of tires on a large fleet of heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• This role is critical to ensuring the safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of our transport operations by minimizing downtime caused by tire issues.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tires for wear, damage, punctures, and cuts to determine repairability.
• Perform hot and cold vulcanizing processes to repair damaged tires, tubes, and flaps according to safety and quality standards.
• Prepare tire surfaces by buffing, cleaning, and applying chemical solutions to ensure durable repairs.
• Operate vulcanizing machines, tire curing presses, and related workshop equipment safely and efficiently.
• Conduct regular tire pressure and tread depth checks as part of preventive maintenance schedules.
• Remove and replace tires on truck and trailer wheels using hydraulic jacks, impact wrenches, and tire cages.

Qualifications

• Minimum of SSCE / O-Level Certificate.
• Trade Test Certificate or Vocational Diploma in Vulcanizing or Automobile Engineering is an added advantage.
• 3-5 years of proven experience as a Vulcanizer, specifically working with heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and commercial vehicles.
• Experience with tubeless and tube-type tires commonly used in the transport industry.
