Overview of the Position
The production supervisor shall be responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards and safety regulations are met.
he production supervisor will manage, schedule, and train production staff, troubleshoot equipment or process issues, and optimise workflows to improve efficiency.
Responsibilities
Production Oversight: Supervise the production floor to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules and quotas.
Quality & Safety Assurance:Ensure all products adhere to food safety standards, including HACCP, sanitation protocols, and quality control procedures.
Team Leadership:Train, mentor, and manage staff schedules, including performance management and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
Operational Efficiency:Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to reduce waste and optimize workflows.
Reporting & Compliance: Maintain accurate, detailed records of production output, material usage, and staff timesheets.
Collaboration:Coordinate with maintenance, logistics, and quality assurance teams
Quality Control: ensuring products meet company and industry quality standards.
Continuous improvement: Troubleshooting bottlenecks, reducing waste, and implementing process improvements.
Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with 3 - 5 years experience in FMCG manufacturing/packaging.
Core skills include leadership, technical and operational skills with key competencies in team management, problem-solving under pressure, in-depth knowledge of manufacturing and packaging processes (e.g., Lean/Six Sigma), proficiency in production software, and excellent communication.
