About the Role

• Vennote Technologies is looking for a seasoned Senior Kubernetes & OpenShift Engineer to architect, deploy, and optimize our containerized infrastructure.
• You will be a key player in bridging the gap between development and operations, ensuring our cloud-native ecosystem is scalable, secure, and highly performant.
• With over 7 years of hands-on experience, you’ll be expected to not just maintain systems, but to innovate—automating away manual toil and hardening our security posture.

Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Design & Orchestration:

• Architect & Implement: Design and maintain robust, enterprise-grade OpenShift environments.
• Optimize Kubernetes: Configure and fine-tune K8s clusters to ensure maximum resource efficiency and high availability.
• Cloud Integration: Manage deployments across hybrid or multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Application Management & Troubleshooting:

• Lifecycle Management: Deploy, monitor, and manage the full lifecycle of containerized applications.
• Root Cause Analysis: Act as the final line of defense in troubleshooting complex issues related to orchestration and application deployment.

Security, Compliance & Performance:

• Harden Environments: Implement industry-standard security best practices (e.g., RBAC, Network Policies, Pod Security Standards).
• Performance Tuning: Proactively identify bottlenecks and optimize the performance of OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters to meet demanding SLAs.
• Compliance: Ensure all containerized workflows meet internal and external regulatory standards.

Automation & Monitoring:

• Eliminate Toil: Develop advanced automation scripts (Bash, Python) to streamline repetitive operational tasks.
• Observability: Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to provide deep visibility into system health.

Collaboration & Documentation:

• Cross-functional Synergy: Partner with DevOps and Engineering teams to ensure seamless CI/CD integration.
• Knowledge Base: Maintain meticulous documentation for configurations, system processes, and disaster recovery procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience in designing and managing OpenShift and Kubernetes at scale.
• Technical Depth: Expert-level understanding of container orchestration principles, networking, and storage in a K8s context.
• Automation Pro: High proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Cloud Savvy: Familiarity with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Security Mindset: Practical experience with container security tools and compliance frameworks.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
