Seven-Up Bottling Company Limited is one of the largest manufacturing companies in Nigeria, producing and distributing some of the nation’s most- loved beverages in the country like; Pepsi, 7Up, Mirinda, Teem, Mountain Dew, H2oH!, Lipton Ice Tea and Aquafina premium drinking water. SBC has recently entered into Home & Personal Care category with the 2SURE brand and launched its first product, a Hand & Surface Sanitizer. Seven Up boasts of nine bottling plants with state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities strategically located across various regions in the country.

Job Description

• Responsible to ensure relevant SHE resources and personnel are deployed to provide day-to-day support to departmental requirements. Coordinating SHE activities, within the area of responsibility and report as required to the SHE manager, performance, incidents and accidents and progress against sectional and factory targets.

Responsibilities

• Assist Safety Manager in the coordination of SHE Management Systems in the plant, head office and external warehouses in line with the company’s acceptable standards, OHSAS 45001 and ISO 14001 EMS
• Assist Safety manager in working with HODs and administrative teams to identify occupational and environmental hazards and to introduce suitable controls in the offices and warehouses.
• Follow up on agreed control measures to ensure safe work practices.
• Ensure safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials across the plant, offices and external warehouses.
• Assist the Safety manager in the communication of all relevant Local/organizational SHE standards to employees, contractors and visitors.
• Identify and support in implementing SHE program at the plant, head office, warehouses and contractor management.
• Assist the Safety manager in coordinating hazard spotting, near-misses and report of unsafe act in the workplace.

Requirements

• A minimum of B.Sc / HND in Engineering, Sciences/Humanities.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years relevant hands-on FMCG operation and maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in Hausa language.
• Knowledge of bottling operations: Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Environment Engineering, Health and Safety.
• Must Possess Basic HSE CERTIFICATION, NEBOSH will be an added advantage. Membership/registration of ISPON (Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria)
• Ability to influence situations without direct control of resources.
• Good understanding of HQSE modalities and codes.
• Good understanding of GMP and GHK (5S) standards
• Good oral communication, influencing and relationship skills.
