Abdulrasaq Abubakar Toyin University (AATU) is located in a beautiful Semi-urban Area of Oke-Ogba, Ganmo near llorin, Kwara State. The Governing Council of the University hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:
Job Title: Bursar
Location: Ganmo, Kwara
Responsibility
The Bursar is the University's Chief Financial Officer and is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the daily financial administration and control of the University's financial affairs.
Requirements for the Candidate
He/she:
Must have a good honours Degree (at least 2nd Class Lower Division), preferably in Accounting, Economics, Financial Management, and other related fields or subjects from a recognized Tertiary Institution;
Must have professionally recognized Accountancy qualifications, such as ICAN, ACMA, ANAN, and ACCA. A higher Degree will be an added advantage;
Must have at least fifteen (15) years of experience after obtaining their honours degree and five (5) years of experience following their professional qualification.
Additionally, the candidate must hold the position of Deputy Bursar at a University or an equivalent role in a comparable institution for at least five (5) years;
Must have a clean and impeccable service record, demonstrating high professional competence and solid understanding of relevant Accounting software applications;
Must have a clear idea on how the university may grow funds outside the regular student fees;
Must demonstrate high accountability, integrity, transparency, and probity; and
Must possess strong computer literacy and be familiar with using ICT-based accounting packages.
Tenure of Service:
The Bursar shall hold office for a single term of five (5) years.
Conditions of Service
AATU offers conditions of service comparable with what obtains in similar private Universities of its standing, as well as those in the Nigeria Public University system, and as may be determined by Council from time to time.
