Job Title: Manager, Game Company

Location: Amuwo Odofin / Mainland, Lagos

Description

• The Game Village Manager oversees the daily operations of the gaming center, ensuring customers enjoy a safe, exciting, and well-organized gaming environment.
• The manager supervises staff, manages equipment, handles customer issues, and ensures the business meets its revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Management:

• Oversee daily activities of the gaming village.
• Ensure all gaming stations (console, arcade, VR) are functioning properly.
• Monitor opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure smooth flow of customers in the facility.

Virtual Reality (VR) Section Supervision:

• Ensure VR equipment is properly maintained.
• Monitor safe use of VR devices.
• Train staff on operating VR systems.
• Assist customers who are new to VR gaming.

Customer Experience Management:

• Ensure customers have a fun and enjoyable experience.
• Handle complaints and resolve conflicts.
• Maintain a friendly and welcoming environment.

Staff Management:

• Supervise game attendants and technicians.
• Assign duties and work schedules.
• Train staff on customer service and equipment handling.
• Enforce company policies.

Revenue & Sales Management:

• Monitor daily sales from:
  • Game sessions
  • VR experiences
  • Membership packages
  • Tournaments or events
• Ensure proper cash handling and reporting.

Equipment & Facility Management:

• Ensure gaming consoles, VR headsets, controllers, and arcade machines are working.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure the facility is clean and organized.

Security & Safety:

• Ensure safety rules for VR gaming are followed.
• Prevent damage or theft of gaming equipment.
• Monitor CCTV where available.

Marketing & Promotions:

• Organize gaming tournaments.
• Promote special offers and membership packages.
• Encourage repeat visits and customer loyalty.

Daily Duties:

• Open and inspect the gaming facility.
• Check functionality of consoles, VR systems, and arcade machines.
• Supervise staff attendance and duties.
• Monitor customer activity and assist where necessary.
• Handle customer complaints.
• Track daily revenue and sales.

Weekly Duties:

• Inspect gaming equipment.
• Review sales performance.
• Conduct staff meetings.
• Plan gaming tournaments or events.
• Ensure cleaning and maintenance standards are followed.

Monthly Duties:

• Prepare operational reports.
• Review business performance and revenue.
• Plan promotions or marketing campaigns.
• Evaluate staff performance.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
A Game Village Manager is usually measured using:

• Daily revenue generated
• Number of customers served

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess an HND qualification with 2 - 3 years experience.
