Job Title: Farm Attendant

Location: Owerri / Obosima, Imo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Assist in daily farm operations, especially in poultry production activities
• Feed and provide clean water to birds according to set schedules
• Help in cleaning and disinfecting poultry houses, equipment, and surroundings
• Assist in collecting eggs, sorting, counting, and storing them properly
• Support in monitoring bird behavior and reporting any signs of illness, weakness, or unusual activity
• Assist in administering basic treatments, vaccines, or medications under supervision
• Help maintain farm biosecurity by following hygiene rules such as foot dips and protective clothing usage
• Carry out routine tasks such as litter management, waste disposal, and general sanitation
• Assist in loading, unloading, and handling of feed, chicks, or farm supplies
• Help in maintaining and organizing farm tools and equipment
• Support minor crop activities such as planting, watering, weeding, and harvesting when required
• Assist in fish pond activities such as feeding fish and maintaining pond cleanliness (if applicable)
• Follow instructions from the Farm Supervisor and report any issues promptly
• Ensure proper care of animals and adherence to farm safety procedures at all times
• Perform any other duties assigned to support smooth farm operations.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum of SSCE/WAEC (or equivalent)
• Previous experience in poultry farming or general farm work is an added advantage
• Basic knowledge of poultry care, feeding, and farm hygiene practices
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor
• Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and in outdoor conditions
• Basic communication skills
• Ability to observe and report unusual changes in birds or farm conditions
• Honest, reliable, and responsible attitude
• Team player with good work ethics
• Willingness to learn and adapt to farm procedures and biosecurity measures.
