We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account / Cost Officer

Location: Calabar, Cross River
Reports to: Finance Manager / Head of Accounts

Main Function

• The Account / Cost Officer is responsible for monitoring financial transactions, controlling costs, and ensuring accuracy in financial records. The role supports effective cost management, budgeting, and financial reporting to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Role Responsibilities

• Monitor daily financial transactions and ensure proper documentation.
• Track operational costs and identify areas of cost reduction.
• Prepare cost analysis reports and support budgeting processes.
• Verify invoices, receipts, and expense records for accuracy.
• Ensure proper recording of purchases, stock usage, and expenses.
• Support reconciliation of financial records and accounts.
• Assist in preparing financial reports for management review.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Certifications:

• HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA) is an advantage.

Experience:

• Must have 2–4 years experience in accounting or cost control roles.
• Experience in hospitality, retail, or similar environment is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of cost tracking and financial reporting.
