Job Title: Head of ICT

Location: Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

The Role

• We’re looking for an experienced Head of ICT to lead our technology function and drive the bank’s digital direction.
• This role is not just about maintaining systems — it’s about using technology to improve service delivery, strengthen risk management, and support business growth.
• You’ll oversee our ICT environment, lead a capable team, and drive initiatives that position the bank for scale and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy:

• Develop and execute the bank’s ICT strategy in line with business objectives
• Identify and implement technologies that improve efficiency and service delivery
• Manage the ICT budget to ensure optimal use of resources.

Infrastructure & Systems:

• Oversee the bank’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks
• Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and scalable
• Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.

Security & Compliance:

• Implement and enforce strong cybersecurity and data protection measures
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards
• Conduct periodic risk assessments and system audits.

Digital Transformation:

• Drive initiatives that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency
• Support the deployment of digital banking solutions and channels
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement within the team.

Support & Business Continuity:

• Ensure timely and effective technical support across the bank
• Minimize downtime through proactive system maintenance
• Maintain a robust disaster recovery and business continuity framework

Leadership:

• Lead and develop a high-performing ICT team
• Set clear performance expectations and support staff growth
• Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s or relevant certifications is an added advantage)
• 5 - 8 years of ICT experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of banking systems, cybersecurity, and digital platforms
• Proven experience managing ICT projects from concept to delivery
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
