The Governing Council / Management of the College of Nursing Sciences Lafia invites applications from interested and suitably qualified candidates to fill position below:

Job Title: Provost

Location: Nasarawa

Responsibilities

• The Provost is the Chief Executive and Academic officer of the College
• He/she shall be the Accounting officer of the College
• He/she shall be responsible to the Council for the Execution of the Policies governing the College and day-to-administration of the College.
• He/she shall be responsible for the maintenance of discipline among Students and Staff of the College
• Shall be responsible to the Council for the day-to-day expenditure of the College in accordance with the budgetary estimate of the College and shall present the statement of Accounts to the Council in the manner required by it.
• Carry out such other duties as the Council may from time to time assign.

Qualification and Experience

• Must be a registered Nurse / Midwifery Educator
• Must have at least a minimum of post-graduate degree (M.Sc) in Nursing or Midwifery
• Must have a minimum of ten (10) years Teaching and Administrative experience
• Must have or possess a current Professional Licence of practice

Tenure:

• The Provost shall hold the office for a term of four (4) years and subject to renewal.

Salary and Condition of Service
The conditions of service are as obtainable for the tertiary Institutions Nigeria and determined by the Governing Council of the College.
