We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Builder

Location: Abuja

Job Summary

• The Builder will be responsible for overseeing and executing construction activities across Mshel Homes Limited's residential and commercial development projects.
• With a minimum of 5 years of hands-on building experience, the ideal candidate will ensure that construction works are carried out to the highest quality standards, within agreed timelines, budgets, and in full compliance with approved drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities including substructure, superstructure, finishing, and external works.
• Interpret and work from architectural drawings, structural drawings, and construction specifications.
• Manage and supervise site tradespeople, artisans, and subcontractors to ensure quality and productivity.
• Ensure materials are requisitioned, received, and utilised in accordance with project requirements and specifications.
• Conduct quality checks at all critical stages of construction to ensure workmanship meets company and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate daily site records including work progress, labour deployment, and material usage.
• Identify and resolve construction challenges promptly, escalating complex issues to the Line Manager as required.
• Ensure the site is maintained in a clean, organised, and safe condition at all times.
• Participate in site meetings and contribute to progress reviews and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Building Technology, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Registration with the Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in building construction, with demonstrated capability in site supervision.
• Experience in residential real estate construction is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies:

• Sound knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
• Good understanding of construction scheduling and resource management.
• Working knowledge of HSE requirements on construction sites.
• Proficiency in basic construction reporting and documentation.
