We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Architect

Location: Abuja

Job Summary

• The Architect will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of residential and commercial real estate projects at Mshel Homes Limited.
• The role requires a highly skilled professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design, project planning, and construction supervision.
• The successful candidate will translate client briefs and company vision into innovative, functional, and aesthetically compelling designs while ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full architectural design process from concept development through to construction documentation and project handover.
• Prepare and present detailed architectural drawings, 3D visualisations, models, and specifications using industry-standard software.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other technical consultants to ensure design integrity and buildability.
• Review and approve contractor shop drawings, material samples, and technical submittals.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design intent and quality standards.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, environmental requirements, and health & safety standards.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and budget parameters.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including design records, approvals, correspondence, and as-built drawings.
• Mentor and supervise junior architects and draughtsmen within the team.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes, standards, and templates.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Full registration with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in architectural design and project delivery, preferably in real estate development.
• Proven track record of delivering residential, mixed-use, or commercial projects from inception to completion.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian building codes, planning regulations, and construction methods.
• Excellent design sense with strong conceptual and technical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• High level of attention to detail and quality.
