We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Admin Officer

Location: Borno

About the job

  • The Admin Officer will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth running of EYN Projects’ field office.
  • The role involves managing office systems, supporting logistics, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • He/she will work closely with program, finance, and logistics teams to support efficient service delivery and maintain a well-organized working environment.

Main Responsibilities
The Admin Officer’s primary responsibilities include the following:

  • Manage day-to-day administrative operations of the field office;
  • Maintain proper filing systems (both physical and electronic) for administrative documents;
  • Coordinate office supplies, ensure timely procurement, and maintain inventory records;
  • Support logistics arrangements including travel, accommodation, and meeting coordination;
  • Prepare and manage administrative documentation such as letters, memos, and reports;
  • Ensure proper maintenance of office facilities, equipment, and utilities;
  • Track asset management and maintain updated asset registers;
  • Support HR functions such as staff attendance records, leave tracking, and onboarding logistics;
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, workshops, and trainings;
  • Ensure compliance with organizational administrative policies and procedures;
  • Provide support during audits and ensure proper documentation is available;
  • Liaise with vendors, service providers, and relevant stakeholders;
  • Ensure office safety, cleanliness, and a conducive working environment;
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling organizational information;
  • Participate in administrative and program meetings as required.

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, or related field;
  • 2–4 years of relevant administrative experience, preferably in humanitarian or development organizations;
  • Experience in office management, logistics coordination, and administrative systems;
  • Familiarity with donor-funded project environments is an added advantage;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively;
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism;
  • Team player with the ability to work independently;
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Hausa and/or Kanuri is an advantage.
