Position Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Chief Operating Officer (COO) with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience across real estate, investment, finance, construction, fintech, administration, banking, and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic executor responsible for translating the Group's vision into operational reality, driving business growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious targets.
This role is pivotal in positioning DreamCity Group as a market leader across all its business verticals.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the business growth targets of the Group are met in line with the Board's directives, driving consistent performance across all business units.
Develop and implement operational strategies to drive new business development, sales inflow, and overall growth and profitability of the Company's business interests.
Coordinate and drive the implementation of strategies necessary for mass adoption of the DreamCity Capital web app, attaining the Company's initial goal of 1,000,000 active users.
Develop and execute investment strategies to drive growth and maximize returns for Group's investors.
Manage the Company's fundraising activities and investor relations to syndicate capital for real estate investment projects.
Lead due diligence processes for potential investment opportunities and acquisitions, ensuring thorough evaluation and risk assessment.
Develop and implement risk management strategies to protect investor interests and safeguard Company assets.
Oversee administrative, sales, marketing, and project management activities, including budgeting, scheduling, quality control measures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in real estate development projects.
Provide leadership and guidance to operational staff to optimize performance, efficiency, and professional development.
Improve existing operational policies and procedures to streamline processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and enhance productivity across the Group.
Report regularly to the MDand Board of Directors on operational performance, strategic progress, and key performance indicators.
Requirements
Master's Degree (MBA or MSc) in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Professional certifications such as CFA, CIS, PMP, COREN, or ICAN are highly desirable.
Minimum of 10 years progressive, verifiable senior leadership experience, with demonstrated expertise across real estate, investment, finance, construction, fintech, administration, banking, and regulatory compliance.
Proven track record of successfully driving business growth, achieving operational targets, and leading cross-functional teams in a complex, multi-sector environment.Experience in digital transformation and scaling technology platforms is a strong advantage.
Demonstrated experience in managing fundraising activities, investor relations, capital syndication, and leading due diligence processes for major investments and acquisitions.Established network within the Nigerian investment, banking, and real estate communities.
Comprehensive knowledge of Nigerian regulatory frameworks across real estate, banking, fintech, and investment sectors, with proven ability to navigate compliance requirements.
Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with the Board, investors, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
Must be based in Lagos, with flexibility to work extended hours and travel as required by business demands.
