Job Title: Mathematics Teacher

Location: Benin City, GRA Ugbor Village Road, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• A Mathematics Teacher is responsible for teaching mathematical concepts, developing students’ problem-solving skills, and fostering logical thinking.
• The teacher ensures students understand and apply mathematics in real-life situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver mathematics lessons in line with the curriculum
• Teach topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics
• Prepare lesson notes, assignments, and tests
• Assess and evaluate students’ performance regularly
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations
• Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment
• Provide extra support to struggling students
• Use teaching aids and technology to enhance learning
• Collaborate with other teachers and school staff

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of mathematics concepts
• Excellent communication and teaching skills
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Classroom management ability
• Patience and adaptability
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to explain complex ideas simply
• Basic ICT skills.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Education (Mathematics), or related field
• Teaching certification/license (if required) with work experience.

Salary
N90,000 - N200,000 / month.
