Johnvents Foods Limited is a wholly Nigerian-owned company specializing in the production of high-quality, affordable cocoa-based products and snacks. As part of the Johnvents Group, we are committed to transforming locally sourced cocoa into premium products such as JV Pure Cocoa Powder, JV 3-in-1 Chocolate Drink, Myco 3-in-1, JV Choco Pops, as well as other non-cocoa products including soya oil and seasoning.

We are currently recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cost Accountant

Location: Ondo

Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our dynamic team and support effective cost management and financial performance across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and monitor production costs, including raw materials, labor, and overheads
• Prepare cost reports and provide insights to support management decision-making
• Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies between actual and standard costs
• Develop and maintain standard costing systems and cost control procedures
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Monitor inventory valuation and ensure accuracy in stock records
• Collaborate with production and procurement teams to optimize cost efficiency
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum of HND / B.Sc Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 4 - 5 years’ experience in cost accounting, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and financial analysis
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage
• Experience with ERP systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
